Kit Carson, renowned for his game-changing knives, turned out a host of them from his bench in Vine Grove, Kentucky. The M40, based on one of his relatively unknown custom designs, is a testament to his legacy. In classic Kit style, the stainless steel spear point blade means business. It's paired with a glass-reinforced nylon and aluminum bolster handle that's strong and surprisingly lightweight.
The real magic happens when you deploy the M40. The action is quick and smooth, thanks to the flipper and IKBS ball bearing pivot system. It locks firmly into place with the Deadbolt mechanism, withstanding incredible stress and weight until it's simply closed with the prominent button.
